JANUARY 2023 BEGIN WORK ON THE NEXT ALBUM JANUARY TO DECEMBER 2022 PLAYED DATES ALL OVER THE UK IN SUPPORT OF THE COUNTDOWN TO A COSMIC EGO DEATH ALBUM SEPTEMBER 4 AND 5 2021 PLAYED SHEFFIELD 02 ARENA SATURDAY FOLLOWED BY LONDON'S SHEPHERDS BUSH EMPIRE ON THE SUNDAY JULY 2021 APPEARED AT THE KOZFEST FESTIVAL. THE FIRST MAIN FESTIVAL SINCE LOCKDOWNS BEGAN IN 2020 JULY 10TH 2021 Countdown To A Cosmic Ego Death launch night at The King Arthur, Glastonbury FEBRUARY 2021 SEAWEED agees to do some album tracks JANUARY 2021 Started work on Countdown To A Cosmic Ego Death. Possibly the next album NOVEMBER 2020 Started work on new songs for next album SEPTEMBER 2020 JUSTIN FINALLY MAKES HIS DEBUT. WITH SPECIAL GUEST DAN POOLE ON DRUMS. After 6 months of lockdown we finally return live with a socially distanced gig at The King Arthur pub, Glastonbury FEBRUARY 2020 JUSTIN PRESCOTT joins on bass JANUARY 2020 DAVE ONLEY leaves the band SEPTEMBER 2019 PSYCHEFREAKADELIC is finally released AUGUST/SEPTEMBER 2018 Started work on next album, PSYCHEFREAKADELIC SUMMER 2018 A Busy summer of festivals and gigs MARCH 2018 With Dave Onley from SpacedOgs on bass Deviant Amps kick off the year with a gig at The King Arthur in Glastonbury XMAS 2017 After two glorious years Subs announces that he will be leaving the band APRIL 2017 - DECEMBER 2017 Embark on a huge summer of gigs which will see Deviant Amps play all over the country and also taking in festivals like Beautiful Days, Kozfest and Surplusfest APRIL 2017 Take Me Back To The Sky is released at Cosmic Puffin Festival XMAS 2016 Take Me Back To The Sky is recorded in one session. Mixing begins AUTUMN 2016 Sessions begin for next album SUMMER 2016 Deviant Amps spend the summer playing festivals APRIL 16TH 2016 Strange Voodoo From Electric Salad Studio is released. Gigs follow XMAS/NEW YEAR 2015/2016 Recording of next Deviant Amps album starts. Gigs are booked OCTOBER 24 2015 Rehearsals begin with Subs. First gig is two weeks away. November 7th. Supporting Hawklords in London AUTUMN 2015 Last gigs with Martin. Deviant Amps album released SPRING 2015 With Martins ears not getting any better it is decided to record the new material, play some of them over the summer festivals before Martin, sadly leaves. On October 3rd Deviant Amps headlined The Last Hurrah at The Square Harlow and said goodbye to Martin in style. SPRING/SUMMER 2014 I'm On Fire released and a summer of festival dates to promote it begins. As the year moves on it becomes clear Martin has a problem with his ears and tinnitus is diagnosed. New songs are written over the winter. AUTUMN/WINTER 2013 Deviant Amps SUPPORT Hawklords at Hitchin and Here & Now at The Square prior to finishing mixing of I'm On Fire album. AUTUMN 2013 Deviant Amps start mixing follow up album to Magic Carpet Ride. The new album has working title of I'm On Fire SUMMER 2013 Deviant Amps take Magic Carpet Ride album out on tour playing gigs and festivals in the UK culminating with two gigs on Hawklords 2013 UK tour in October SPRING 2013 Deviant Amps take a break from recording new album to play a handful of dates around the country OCTOBER 2012 Deviant Amps start work on follow up album to Magic Carpet Ride SUMMER 2012 Deviant Amps tour Magic Carpet Ride NOVEMBER 21 2011 Deviant Amps release Magic Carpet Ride SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER 2011 Deviant Amps play succesful gigs at Alchemy and Paradise 9 ep launch in Gunnesbury. JULY29/30/31 2011 Woodbine, with Soundawesome, produce Kozmik Kens Psychedelic Dream Festival at Bobbies farm, Devon. Deviant Amps and a host of psychedelic bands rock Devon for three days and nights. SUMMER 2011 Deviant Amps play BSMF, Godzila and Rebound festivals. APRIL 9th 2011 Woodbine and Deviant Amps make a succesful live return supporting Here&Now in Bournemouth. WINTER/SPRING 2011 Whilst working on new album Woodbine suffers a heart attack. Recovery is slow but recording of album finally gets finshed. AUTUMN/WINTER 2010/2011 Deviant Amps play Feed Your Head III and support Paradise 9 at their xmas gig. Work on album continues. SUMMER 2010 Deviant Amps start recording MAGIC CARPET RIDE album. SPRING/SUMMER Deviant Amps play gigs at Hallstock, Tannerfest, Classic Rock Club and with Fyrefly. 2008 APRIL/MAY 2010 Play Puffin Festival and Hugh Hopper Benefit gig with Here&Now. FEBRUARY 15th 2010 Walking In The Air goes to number 1 in SoundAwesome charts. DECEMBER 3rd Walking In The Air released as free download. We have made this available in .aiff .wav or hi-res mp3. We also have very limited copies on cd....on a strictly first come basis. We will be playing two sets at The Fawcett Inn on December 3rd OCTOBER 1st We have just got our hands on some high quality flourescent magenta DEVIANT AMPS logo on black t-shirts. ONLY £8 AUGUST 14th We are very pleased to announce a special gig on October 2nd at The Square Harlow where we will be sharing the stage with That Legendary Wooden Lion, Tea For The Wicked and Electric Dub Guru. FEED YOUR HEAD. JULY 25th Deviant Amps play Sawyers Venue, Kettering as part of a bill raising funds for Stop The War Organisation. MAY 15th Gig supporting Newtown Neurotics. FEBRUARY 9 2009 DEVIANT AMPS played a special gig at Harlow Square to launch The Harlow Bands Family Tree and Archive Web Site. Deviant Amps played a 20 minute set of classic Amps songs before teaming up with Kevin Jones and Mickey Howard from legendary Harlow 70's punk band THE SODS to play a couple of SODS songs. AUTUMN/WINTER 2008 Deviant Amps go a bit quiet and concentrate on writing some new songs. Paul Woodwright is working on a special Harlow Bands Archive Project for The Square music venue in Harlow. SPRING/SUMMER 2008 Deviant Amps play more gigs and festivals including a welcome return to Wattsfest (one of our favourite festivals), and a headline slot at the Riverside festival in Oxford. FEBRUARY 9 2008 DEVIANCY AMPLIFICATION SPIRAL album released with special gigs at The Four Lymes, Dartford and Red Lion, Stevenage. WINTER 2007/8 Deviant Amps record DEVIANCY AMPLIFICATION SPIRAL album at their own Chicken Shed Studios for their label DAMP RECORDINGS. SUMMER 2007 Deviant Amps play summer gigs at Upton Community Hall (in memory of Syd Barrett), Wattsfest and Napton Festival with The Hollies and The Sweet. The band prepare to record an album. SUMMER 2006 Deviant Amps play headline gigs at Upton, Bournemouth Music Festival, Tj's in Wales, Workhouse Festival and The Great Dorset Steam Fair. JULY 2005 EP "Give It All Away" is released and Deviant Amps debut live as a trio and headline Upton Festival. Songs "Giving It All Away" and "If You Got Yours, I've Got Mine" both go to number one in the ELUK charts. APRIL 2005 Steve Shelser leaves Deviant Amps. With an ep being recorded and live summer dates set up the decision to carry on as a three-piece is taken. The new Amps "wavy" magenta logo is designed. DECEMBER 2004-MAY 2005 A four-piece Deviant Amps with Steve Shelser on guitar play what are to become the bands last gigs as a four-piece.
